Magic Mushroom Bubble Bar

This cute little bubble bar is great! I bought with a few other things in the limited edition selection that LUSH do every so often. It literally is the more adorable thing ever a little red mushroom with a white stalk (smells of vanilla) and the red top (smells of strawberries). So if gives off this pleasant fruity, relaxing smell and turns the bath water a pinky red. It also produced loads of bubbles - I was really impressed. I'd read loads of good reviews about them so I bought two and I'm so glad I did. It's like bathing in your own fruity dessert. There's also something forbidden about it because it's the name of a drug or maybe that's just me.

I'm never very frugal with bubble bars, I get too excited and just crumble the whole thing in but you could probably get two or three baths out of this if you cut it up because you do get a lots of bubbles! It's priced at £3.50 and there are still some available online! So get going already!

Shine So Bright, R&B and Sea Spray

Hey! This is review of a few LUSH hair products I love; Shine So Bright,  R&B and Sea Spray.

Firstly, Shine So Bright which is a treatment for split ends and comes in a little lip-balm like pot. I've never used a split end treatment before but I did have a few dodgy split-ends starting to show so I thought I'd give it a go as I'd heard good reviews. I was quite skeptical to begin with and wasn't entirely sure the best way to apply it. You can either rub the pot straight onto your ends or rub it between your fingers/palms until it's all soft and oily and then apply it to your hair. You only need a small amount - it lasts ages!

It works amazingly! It makes my hair so much more bouncy and the split-ends have completely faded. Obviously it doesn't stop you from getting split-ends, if you need to get your hair cut. You need to get your hair cut. But it definitely conditions the ends so well! I use a lot of heat on my hair so it gets very dry and this made my hair all silky and shiny. Yay!

The balm includes extra virgin oil, organic eggs and fair trade coconut oil as a base, as well as orange blossom absolute, grapefruit, neroli and rosewood for fragrance. I find the smell a bit peculiar, not unpleasant just a bit strange. I can't smell the orange blossom which one of my favourite scents! I think it smells much better after it's settled onto your hair. Also, you don't just have to use on your ends. Use it on the body of your hair to tame fly-aways or give your roots a boost. Fab product, priced at £4.50

Secondly, R&B (I love the name of this considering this product was originally aimed at people with afro hair. Rhythm & Blues and all that - not trying to be racist or anything!!) This revives and balances hair fantastically. It has the same texture as your average moisturiser so it did feel a bit weird rubbing this into my hair in the knowledge I wouldn't be washing it out. I just rub a tiny amount on my fingertips and work through my hair and it makes it feel so much more hydrated and happy. My hair is very coarse and dry and this worked magic. I also love the smell - it's really unusual, the mix of Jasmine and Orange absolute combine to make this really intriguing smell. It's awesome.

You can apply this throughout the day on dry hair and it just gives it that extra boost. I will definitely be repurchasing. Priced at £10.95 it may seem quite pricey but if you have dry/curly hair it's definitely worth it!

And lastly Sea Spray which is a hair mist to hold your hair in place or give your hair a bit of volume. I generally use it to give my hair that beach look like all waves and effortless curls. But I also use it to roughen up my roots after I've backcombed to give myself a bit of volume and it works beautifully. It also smells great like the sea with a hint of grapefruit (I actually hate grapefruit but somehow quite like this) and neroli. I haven't really used it as a hairspray but I think it only has a small amount of hair gel in it so if you want a really strong hold I wouldn't recommend this.

The amazing thing about this product is that it doesn't leave that clumpy residue in your hair which other hairsprays do - a feeling I hate. It just feels all bouncy and light - chemical free! This costs £9.95.

Have you used any of these products? Any other LUSH hair products you'd recommend?

Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Hello! I'm a complete Lush fanatic. I can't get enough of their products and am starting to develop a small hoard. So rather than bore all my poor friends and family to death with my ranting about the sheer awesomeness of Lush (I do talk about Lush a rather unhealthy amount) I have decided to vent my passion online and join the blogging community by reviewing products and maybe even offering a bit of advice.

I thought I'd start with a quick, cheeky post on the Bubblegum Lip Scrub, a favourite of mine.

This product has been out for a while now and to be honest I put off buying it for far too long. I was terrified of anything slightly exfoliating because the idea of scrubbing away skin left me weak at the knees. Ugh. I have very dry skin and I was convinced any sort of exfoliator would rob me of essential oils that my skin so desperately needed. It was all psychological - the concept freaked me out so I avoided it at all costs. I also though the idea of a lip scrub was slightly ridiculous and I thought it would be a waste of time and wouldn't do anything for me.

However, a good scrub now and again helps to get rid of dead skin and leaves you feeling super smooth. If only I'd realised this before! Lush's Bubblegum lip scrub is fabulous at keeping chapped lips at bay and smoothing them out. I couldn't have possibly imagined how successful this would be. You just dab a little bit on the end of your finger (you don't need much) and gently rub it all over your lips. Once you're satisfied you can simply lick it all off. The ingredients is essentially just Castor sugar and Jojoba oil - perfectly edible! It tastes lovely and sweet.

The smell is really similar to Snow Fairy, which is one of my favourite scents. It smells of candyfloss, sweet shops and bubblegum. Truly scrumptious. In the pot the sugar crystals catch the light and it just looks like a cute, little pot of pink sparkles!

My only criticisms are that the smell can be a little sickly after a while, but then that's my fault for sniffing it constantly. Also, be careful that there isn't any sugar left around your lips the I-just-ate-a-super-sugary-doughnut look isn't always so great.

I absolutely love this product will be purchasing again and hopefully trying out the other flavours: Popcorn and Mint Julips. Even though it may seem quite pricey at £5.25 it does last ages as you only need a teeny tiny amount!

Has anyone else tried the Lush lip scrubs?
